Who we are
Luminesca News
Luminesca News is a small independent analysis desk covering technology and AI, energy and climate, and digital policy. Articles are researched from public reporting, official documents and primary datasets, and every piece ends with a Sources section so you can check our claims yourself. We do not attach named individual bylines: work is attributed to the desk as a whole, and we log corrections openly.
What we publish
Explainer-style analysis: why a market moved, how a technology works, what a policy change means. We deliberately avoid chasing breaking news — you'll find context and practical takeaways instead. Every article lists its sources at the end of the piece so you can verify our claims yourself.
Editorial policy
- Multiple sources: key claims are checked against multiple public sources before publication; where numbers appear they come from the cited reporting.
- Transparent sourcing: every article ends with a Sources section listing the public reports, official documents and datasets it draws on.
- Corrections: factual errors are corrected promptly — email [email protected].
- No paywalled opinion: all articles are free to read; a Google AdSense application is pending and no advertising is currently served.
AI-assisted drafting disclosure
We use AI tools to assist research and drafting. Figures and claims are checked against the sources cited at the end of each article, and we correct errors we find or that readers report. Our goal is accuracy and usefulness — if you spot a mistake, tell us.

What we cover and why
Our beats are deliberately narrow: technology and AI (model releases, developer tools, infrastructure and the cost of running large-scale compute), energy and climate (grid storage, renewables economics, nuclear policy and electricity markets), and digital policy (privacy, platform regulation and AI governance). Occasionally a story crosses beats — the energy footprint of an AI data centre, for example — and those intersections are often where the most useful analysis lives.
We deliberately avoid breaking-news coverage. Other outlets will always publish faster than we can verify. What we add is the layer that survives the news cycle: how a technology actually works, what a policy change requires and by when, and what the numbers behind a headline actually measure. If a topic will look dated in a week, it is probably not for us.
How a typical article comes together
Most pieces follow the same path. First we pick a question that readers genuinely search for and that public sources can answer — how two tools compare, how a grid technology works, what a new regulation actually mandates. Then we gather primary material: official documentation, regulator publications, company announcements and reputable reporting. Drafting is AI-assisted and disclosed; every figure and claim is checked against the sources we cite.
Before publication the piece must pass a simple test: can a reader verify any quantitative claim in it by following the Sources section at the end? If not, the claim comes out or gets a caveat. After publication, articles are not frozen — when facts change or readers report errors, we revise the text and correct mistakes openly.
Funding and independence
All articles are free to read, with no paywall and no registration. The site is free to read. A Google AdSense application is pending, so no advertising is currently served. We do not publish sponsored content, paid placements or advertorials. Nobody can buy coverage here, and no advertiser sees articles before you do. Luminesca News is part of the Luminesca family of independent projects, which it operates separately from the other properties in the network.
